The day starts at 10am. I drop the van off for it's 15k service at the dealership in Sandy. Somehow I've managed to put on 15k miles in just under a year. Darren follows me out and picks me up from dealership and we head to Lowe's. While at Lowe's, we pick out the perfect bathroom light fixture to go over the vanity, look at sliding patio doors (next on the to-do list), and shop for flowers. We leave Lowe's and start making our way back home, stopping at Kmart and Smith's marketplace to shop flowers. Both places are a wash because I don't feel like spending $3 for a jumbo pack of annuals or $18-$25 for a less-than-thriving hanging flower basket. Once we arrive home, Jordan and I rush down to Washington Mutual Bank, which would be closing in 15 minutes, to open her a savings account so she could deposit her birthday money from both Grandma's. We made it in before they locked their doors and got her account set up. That one has been on the list for months! We go back to the house, pick up everyone, and head out to Jordan Landing for a little lunch at a delightful place we like to call Famous Dave's. It was so very tasty. After lunch, we dropped into Great Clips and got all the kid's a haircut. They royally messed up on Jordan's so I'll probably have to take her somewhere to get it fixed, as much as it can be fixed. The lady cut a small section of hair around the right side of her face really really short, like bang length. So, I'm not sure what, if anything, can be done to help it. At the very least, I'm going to take her back to Great Clips tonight and show them the whack job that their whack job employee did and demand a refund. After the haircuts, we went to Verizon Wireless, got a new wireless plan, and new phones for everyone. Got an awesome deal for being a Myriad employee. We got to choose from some higher-end phones for free and will receive 22% off of their normal rate plans. Just as we were finishing up at Verizon, the dealership called to let us know the van was ready. Back to Sandy we go. They drop me off and they head for home. I pick up the van and am pleasently surprised that they were able to fix the rattle coming from the liftgate and only charged me $14 to replace the air filter. Next, it's off to Schmidt's Greenhouse in West Jordan. I had never been but had heard great things. Wow! We're they ever right!! Absolutely beautiful hanging flower baskets for $30. They make the flowers at all the other stores look diseased. Sooooo worth the few extra dollars. After blowing a big wad of cash there, I headed back to the house, but not before watching a bunch of ladies rip a guy to shreads because he left his dog in the hot car. He just kept saying - but I left the window down. What an idiot! Upon my arrival home, I proudly hung and arranged my new flowers. At this point, it was around 7:30 pm and starting to cool off a little, so we decided to head out to Lagoon. Stayed at Lagoon until 10:30pm, got home at 11pm, we all limped to our beds and collapsed. The End.
