Family Brunch

It was time once again to invade the Golden Corral in Midvale and celebrate birthdays and anniversarys. Birthday's celebrated were Kaylene, Jenny, Russ, and Kimball. The anniversary was ours - Darren and Heather. The clan sits around and digests after passing around and laughing at all the funny cards.

Jenny crank calls Mom.

Mom thinks - How the hell did she get this number? I don't even have this number!

Swimming

The kids were out of school today so I took the day off from work and we went swimming at the Rec Center.
Here's Brad making a splash landing after flying down the waterslide.

Jordan and Makenzie like playing in the fountains.

Organized!

It was time to clean the dreaded storage closet downstairs. It had reached the point where we afraid to open the door for fear of avalanche. We went to Lowe's and bought these big 5 tier chrome shelves. After 2 hours of taking everything out of the closet, which left but a small trail through the family room, we then managed to sort through everything. One truckload to the D.I. and one truck load of garbage later, we got everything back in and organized. Ahhhhh, beautiful.

Dinner with old Friends

We had the chance to go to dinner with our friends John & Jill Dent from Cache Valley. Much thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for watching the kiddies. They took us to the Iron Gate Grill in their new Honda Odyssey. They have reluctantly joined the rank of mini-van owner. Dinner and the company were great!

We spent the rest of the weekend at my parent's house. My mom fixed a fantastic dinner on Sunday for mine and Jeff's broods in honor of Pam's birthday, after which, they taught Darren and I how to play Farkel. Darren won, of course.

Before leaving town on Monday, we got to catch lunch with Tami, Josh, Lori, & Chance. Josh and Lori found a house and are closing towards the end of the month. Congrats to them!

Also, congratulations to Allie and Troy on their wedding! The photographs from Mexico are absolutely beautiful, as was Allie in her dress.

Good weekend! It was great seeing everyone.

Jordie & the apple wedger

There is a reason that Pampered Chef puts a disclaimer on their apple wedger stating they are not responsible for severed indexes. Jordan, who is all of 6 years old, has been wanting to be more and more independant lately, so she took it upon herself to try and wedge an apple by herself. After 3 hours at the Urgent Care Center, and 3 stitches later, we're back in one piece. As we're sitting in the room waiting for the doctor, Jordan says under her breath, "I wish I could start this day over". Amen sister!

♥ the new tub

We recently remodeled our bathroom - Replaced the subfloor, ripped out a wall to open up the room, and put in this fabulous jetted tub. Good job Darren and loads of thanks to his brother's Doug & Russ for all the help. They all worked really hard. It turned out great!

Got style?

My niece Lori is the best! She doesn't just do hair, she does phenomenal hair! We went up to Logan and Lori gave up her whole day to get us all looking gorgeous. I got a weave and all the kids got cuts. My mom and sister were also there. It was a fun day.

Jordie just happened to have a new dress in the car so we decided to try it out with her cute new hair. Adorable!

For lunch, we all met at Olive Garden. Please take special notice of the yahoo way in the back behind Makenzie that decided to make himself part of our family portrait.
